UNHEALTHY DIET PRACTICES AND ANEMIA IN YOUNG WOMEN

Background: Adolescent anemia needs to be the focus of attention because in young women can have an impact on health during pregnancy and childbirth. Meanwhile, many practice unhealthy diet for various reasons. This study was conducted determine relationship between practices status female high school students Malang. Method: used observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The research 5 public schools sample 188 women, selected by simple random sampling method. Collecting data using structured questionnaire Food Frequency Questionnaire. Data form hemoglobin levels subjects were obtained digital measuring device. analysis performed univariate bivariate (chi-square). Result: shows that incidence adolescent girls Malang is 59.04% those who are 22.34%. results showed there significant (p-value 0.027). Conclusion: prevalence still more comprehensive efforts needed prevent anemia. strategy preventing done through education related consumption balanced nutrition nutritional body, so as create awareness adolescents about their implement healthy diet.
